Â Power Leg Presses â Add weights to a leg press machine.Â  Put feet far apart and high on the plate.Â  Bring it down slowly until your knees are even with your chest.Â  With great quickness and force, push the plate back. Make sure the motion is quick but steady.Â  Do not go slow.Â  Let muscles rest between sets.Â  Do 3 sets of 8 repetitions.Dead Lifts â Of course you are going to work on legs in your vertical jumping workouts.Â  Did you consider that your lower back and erector muscles are important too?Â  The strongest muscles in your back are the erector muscles.
